A Pillow Block Bearing is a mounted anti-friction bearing that is contained within a solid cast iron, ductile iron or cast steel housing unit. Also referred to as a housed bearing unit, meaning they are self-contained, greased, sealed and ready for installation on the equipment.
Concept：
The outer spherical ball bearing is actually a variant of deep groove ball bearing,characterized by its outer ring outer diameter surface is spherical, which can be fitted into the corresponding concave spherical bearing seat to play a role of self-aligning.
The outer spherical bearing is mainly used to bear the combined radial and axial loads mainly in the radial load, generally no suitable to bear the axial load alone.
The outer spherical bearing with seat is a kind of bearing element which combines the rolling bearing with the bearing seat. Most of the outer spherical bearings are made of spherical outer diameter and installed together with the bearing seat with spherical inner hole. The structure is diverse, and the versatility and interchangeability are good.
Characteristics and classification:
This kind of bearing is also designed with a certain centrality, easy to install, with a double structure of sealing device, can work in harsh environment. The bearing seat is generally molded by casting.
Commonly used seat is vertical seat (P), square seat (F), boss square seat (FS), boss round seat (FC), diamond seat (FL), ring seat (C), slide block seat (T).
